Good day, bloggers!
Today, I want to discuss my latest read. Truth or Date, which is part of the Better Date than Never series, is written by Susan Hatler. It’s the second book of the series. (I haven’t ready any of the others, but am definitely going to do some research on them.)
This is a shorter novel, but the storyline is pretty captivating. I know. It doesn’t take much to entertain me, due to my being a hopeless romantic and all, but………the book is well written, the characters are realistic and relatable, and it keeps you wondering what will happen next.
The synopsis: Gina Hall is done with men who won’t commit. Ten years waiting for her ex to propose wasted her time. When her friend Kristen starts a game of Truth or Dare, she dares Gina to go on a date with Ethan, who’s apparently total marriage material.
Meanwhile, Gina is having to plan the going away party for the office playboy, Chris. During a visit to his office about his preferences for the party, she initiates the Truth or Dare game. On his turn, he dares her to attend his new work’s welcome party. Her time with him is surprisingly fun, too much fun. She realizes she needs to steer clear of him and focus on Ethan because she does not want to repeat her past mistakes.
So this is my next book recommendation for you bloggers. It’s a quick read (I read it in a day) and its a decent story. If you like romance and quirky relationships/friendships, then you won’t regret picking this book up. (Or downloading it to your kindle.)
Until next time……love and blessings!
