  1. I love the poem, One. People tend to think they need a crowd to get something accomplish and so many people don’t do anything because they feel they can’t start without help. This is in itself is a pity. We have forgotten what one person can do, forgotten that Thomas Edison lit up the world, that George Washington Carver defined the many uses of the peanut, that Mary Mcleod Bethune started a university, and that a woman named Sojourner Truth was the first woman to speak at the Ohio Women’s Rights Convention in Ohio and her speech, Ain’t I Woman set fire in women’s heart during the Civil War. These people and many others would never have made or changed the course of history if they had waited on a group or crowd of people.
Thank you very much for presenting your poem One. It was an encouraging reminder for me today to keep on walking.
    Shalom aleichem,
    Patricia

  5. Hi Marlena. Great poem. it reminds me of the quote, ‘Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.’ We tend to forget how much ‘one’ can do and if all the ‘ones’ merged it would be unstoppable. Nice prizes. I’ve been wanting to get the Rave Anthology for a long time now.Have a great tour day. I see John Howel ate all the snacks yet again. 🙂

    1. It’s funny, Rhani… I hadn’t thought much about doing a poetry book, although that’s the escape I often turn to. After today, and all the wonderful compliments I’ve received, maybe I should start thinking about it! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by!!
